We are off to the surgery center. Papa Bear is having his gall bladder removed today. See you all later.
Mamma
Update:
Thank you all for the prayers. We've been home a few hours but I had to get Papa Bear and the Marine settled in, collect eggs, milk the goats and make sure everyone had hay and water for the evening.
Gallbladder surgery is not much more than a band-aid surgery now, nope...can't even say that, Papa Bear has no band-aids or stitches, they glued him closed. 3 tiny incisions. The doctor gave me a picture of Papa Bears gallbladder and liver the tiny camera took while the little robot pincher arm was cutting it loose. That was pretty cool! The surgery went fine but when I went to load the Marine up in the van and drive around to pick Papa Bear up who was waiting in a wheelchair, the van wouldn't start. Papa Bear had left the lights on. I guess neither of us heard the little dinging alarm. I have AAA but my niece was there so we just jumped it off. The nurse was already wheeling Papa Bear around the building when we got it started. Smarty who is all happy on his little pain killer drugs ask me if I wanted him to drive. I told him to load up and behave if he wanted me to stop and get him a milkshake. The doc told him liquids today and anything he wanted tomorrow. He decided a milkshake was liquid but I doubt if the doctor would have agreed but he got one anyway and he's doing fine.
Thanks again everyone!
Praying. I am sure it will go smooth!
