I had a Date

With Papa Bear and Liam Neeson.  The planets and stars aligned. Daughter was able to stay with the Marine so we could go out a few hours.  We went to see "The Grey." Can't tell you much about it as almost everything would be a spoiler.  If you go to the theater to see it make sure you have an empty bladder as there are moments that will scare the pi$$ out of you or at least it did me!  I wondered why they didn't do several things different in the movie.  Not really a survivalist movie as I thought but all in all a good movie.

After the movie we went to Outback for chicken and ribs grilled to perfection on the barbie.  We usually get one of their great steaks when we get to go there but we grilled steaks at home a few days ago so I opted for something different. Everything was good as usual but I think anything is good when I don't have to cook it.  When you stay at home and cook over 1000 meals a year, you get a little tired of your own cooking.  We don't get out much but I had a great time in the few hours we did.

Hope everyone has a good week.  I'm going to be planting more seed trays to be ready for gardening season.

  1. I want to see that too, MB. But will wait until it's out on Netflix. Mmm... I love Outback's blooming onion. I can make a meal from their appetizer menu!

    1. We usually wait for Red Box but since we had a chance to have a few hours of free time, we took it! We went to see one movie last year "Atlas Shrugged". I forgot we did get a Blooming Onion and ended up bringing it home to snack on later. They are good!

  2. ANYTHING with LIAM is going to be awesome! have you seen the movie "Taken"?...its incredible. I love him. I cried when his wife passed away...so sad, but i am thrilled he is back to acting. "The Grey" does look good, and I so want to go see it, maybe Senior can take me for my birthday. Liam is in the new battleship movie coming out this spring ( yes they made a movie based off the board game..) He plays a ships captain...ohhlala.
Glad you enjoyed your date night!

    1. I agree JUGM! Taken was a very good movie. We saw the previews of Battleship and it was awesome. I thick Liam is also in something with the title Titans in it as well. All the previews shown yesterday looked good. More than likely they will be a Red Box deal. It will be a while before all the planets, sun and moon aligns gain....LOL

  4. We want to see the movie too and also thought maybe a bit more on the survivalist flick. Oh well, we'll still see it as we like Liam too.

Outback... YUM! We don't get out hardly at all except to high school sports in winter. We always get right home to take care of chickens and house pets. I looove cookin' but REALLY, there are times I want to be cooked for ;)

Most days I don't mind cooking.. but if I lived nex6t door to a restaurant, I would not guarantee another meal in this house for quiet a while...even if I had to rob the piggy bank!
