I don't know if you will be able to see the temps as I copied and pasted from the weather. Usually by now I have been able to start our garden. This year I am afraid to. The entire month of March looks like this. Warm during the day and then some nights will frost or freeze.
I know, it is a bit bizarre how the weather is. Three days ago we had snow, yesterday it was 71 and we are moving into the 80's. Huh?
ReplyDeleteWow!...snow and then 70's. That is crazier than our weather!
DeleteI would wait if your guts not into it! I'm going to plant some frost tolerant things this weekend but hold off on the tomatoes, cucumbers, and melons for a couple weeks ☺
ReplyDeleteI grew a winter garden with cabbage, collards and turnips. I planted my broccoli a couple of weeks ago. I should be getting my beans and squash started in the next week or so but I am holding off. In 2008 we had a light frost on May 8th. So much for global warming huh?
DeleteI was getting ready to start turning earth, then this morning I had to throw on my sweatshirt and sweatpants. In one day, it will turn into heat for the next four months straight, so I'm not in a hurry.
ReplyDeleteLotta Joy..I hear ya! Us Floridians have had our 15 minutes of spring. We will go straight into summer with the humidity so high you can cut it with a knife. I can't stand the outdoors between the hours of 10am and 7 pm unless I am in the pool or heavy shade.
