The last of Ella's puppies went to their new homes this past weekend. This is the son of one of my new blog readers. What a beautiful family! They read about Ella and the pups on my blog and offered to re-home one!
When they arrived from their two hour journey to pick up the pup, we were presented with a fresh loaf of whole wheat bread and a jar of apple butter from the Mom! I should have taken a picture of that! I never have good luck making whole wheat bread. Mine always comes out like a dense brick but I learned a couple of secrets and will have to try it.
These folks are amazing. I wish they had a blog! Trees that were planted by the father as a young boy was cut and harvested for their log cabin home which they built. Their children are home schooled, they have honey bee hives and they raise pigs! I will have to pick their brains on that one too as Miss Piggy does not seem to be getting in the "piggy way". I want baby pigs! Which translates to I want bacon...and ham...and chops and....
I promised Papa Bear my undivided attention with help on the pole barn this week. I'll post pictures when I get a chance. I hope everyone has a great week!
How cool to meet a like minded new friend and rehome a puppy. That's a good day :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun working with Papa Bear. Can't wait to see the pics :)
It was very cool Kelly! Great family and two cute little girls were here as well. I forgot to take pictures so Mom emailed me one of the little boy with puppy.
DeleteWe got a section of the second floor, floor joist up before I had to take over the Marines care from my niece. Papa Bear and I have decided to invest in a nail gun. This should make things move a little faster.
All I can say is "AWWWWWW" I know you all ready got Yeti, but did you keep any from this litter? I thought papa bear was lovin one of the black females.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could meet some of my blog followers, as I too would love to pick their brains..
Glock Mom...Isn't that a sweet picture? We did keep one of the black pups I have been calling Lindsey. One of the white ones is here too. She will be going home with my great niece and nephew as soon as the remodeling is complete on their house...just a few more weeks. My grandson took the male home. He has been named Trooper. A family stationed at Ft Rucker came yesterday and got the other little black one. I should have got the little girls picture. She was about 4 years old and cute as a button! I remember my camera after the fact even though I leave it laying in plain sight.
DeleteIt was great meeting a reader from my blog!
Mamma Bear,
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun meeting a blogger friend, even if they don't have a blog.
Your new friend sounds like a totally awesome like mind person. Her son, is adorable with the puppy.
Looking forward to see updates on your pole barn:-)
Give a big hug to the Marine for me.
It was fun Sandy...I would love to go state to state and visit everybody whose blog I read!
DeleteWas able to help Papa Bear a bit with the barn today. I think I am going to Lowes or Home Depot and invest in a nail gun!
That is a very sweet looking puppy! Glad it is going to such a good home where it will have loads of fun on the family farm!
ReplyDeleteAngela, I am glad she got to go to a home in the country! There are 4 kids to keep her happy!
DeleteWe enjoyed meeting you guys! The kids have named the puppy Snowflake. She is getting spoiled rotten. Her feet barely touch the ground. They carry her around everywhere.
