While burning the midnight oil......

Papa Bear is outside waiting on the hounds from hell to come back, the Marine has a temp and I'm keeping him company in between reading and looking through pictures.

I know it is too late this year but I wanted to show a picture of a veggie tray my daughter made for her staff party at the hospital for Thanksgiving.  I will have to remember this for next year.  Cute huh?

    1. You know all of us ladies love that cutesy stuff GS. I would have stuffed a bowl with all the goodies and asked where the dressing was located!

    1. Thanks TL..Have not seen any of the hounds but something is coming and eating the "treats" Papa Bear has placed along the trails. We got a few things done today. I will try to get pictures and a post up tomorrow. Of course this is closing the barn door after the horse got out but we'll be ready next time. We were just too comfortable and this was our wake-up call.

    2. Thanks GM and we so appreciate yours and Seniors offer to help. Took some of your suggestions. I'll do a post soon. It was a wake up call for sure.

The Marine got a one dose antibiotic yesterday and has had breathing treatments around the clock. His fever finally dropped below 100 today. We are trying to avoid the hospital if at all possible.

  4. Awwww how cute. I wish I was more creative but I don't really have any artsy skills. As for the hounds from hell I'm hoping Papa Bear had good luck on his hunt. What a horrible massacre ya'll endured.
Merry Christmas to ya'll ( and give The Marine a hug for me)

    1. Thanks Sci...A very Merry Christmas to you and Mars. We shall overcome this and get the problem solved one way or another. My Marine is certainly getting a lot of hugs tonight and is feeling a little better!

  5. Mamma Bear,

I hope Papa Bear is able to get your trespassers and take care of the problem.

Now that vegetable tray is adorable, thank you for sharing this picture. I going to keep this idea for next Thanksgiving :-)

Ut Oh, the Marine is running a temperature. I'm hoping he's not getting what Papa Bear had. Please give him a big hug from an Oklahoma friend.

    1. Sweet Sandy...We are trying. Taking a lot of Seniors and Glock Mom's suggestions. Had a few things here already I was going to use at the new barn but are using them where needed now. I also ordered some things from Harbor Freight. We have one about 50 miles from us but I didn't want to me or Papa to leave with the Marine sick and Papa Bear really needs to rest. He's going to end up with pneumonia if he's not careful.
