Waaahhhh....I can't taste !

I almost missed the plate when I flipped it over and out of the pan.

I had to cut off the piece that was about to break and fall on the table.   Papa Bear is out working on our road so he couldn't have this piece I had to sacrifice.

All I can taste is sweet.  I can't taste that wonderful one and only pineapple that I grew this year.

If you can't taste it, do the calories count?

I didn't have a whole lot of pineapple and I didn't have any of the cherries that make it so pretty so I sprinkled coconut and walnuts on top and called it a tropical upside down cake.  I also made it in my Granny's iron skillet.

I think I may freeze a piece until I am over this nasty cold.

  1. If the piece broke off I think it is like the cookie saying "if it's broken all the calories leaked out". Enjoy you cake, life is short eat dessert first.

  2. I knew about the calories falling out of a broken cookie. surely the same principal applies to cake! hehehehhe

  3. Hmmmm you must send a sample to the Small Hold for calorie vs. taste testing.

    1. I am afraid Papa Bear has almost devoured the entire cake. His excuse is it's only one layer and a small skillet...I don't think I am even going to be able to freeze any. I must concentrate on growing more pineapple.

  4. It looks wonderful! A recipe would be great, so we can all have a taste. Except for the homegrown pineapple...

    1. K, I will post my recipe soon just for you. The Dole pineapple in the can makes a good cake. It was just fun having my one and only pineapple.
